The
details on how to control military activities in the demo are given on
other pages of the manual, from Display
through Units . So only the things
that aren't mentioned elsewhere are covered here. The combat model
in Clash is quite detailed, and the game may eventually support tactical
combat. For now , limited details on what happened in a combat is
shown in the Information window after each turn ends. You can get
further, Much-more-detailed information, by opening the file combat.txt
. To understand what is going on in that output you can check out
the military model references listed below.

Supplies
come from your civ or the army will suffer the consequences. If the
economy can support the army at 100% of its needs it doses so automatically

| You
should look at the Military
Page at the Clash web site. For a brief idea of what we're doing,
look at the introduction there. After that, the next important thing
you should check out is the battle and units model worked out by Harli
and Krenske. Here is a link to the Scouting
Model of their design. Don't follow the links in it, more current
links to the other modules (Manuver, Assault, and Units) are found in the
Updated
Model.
Although we
have a lot of the bare bones of the model, there is an Enormous amount
of specification, and refinement, to be done. If you are a Military
Guru and would like to apply for the position, please let me know in the
current Military thread, or e-mail me. |
