Units
|
Overview
|
Currently there are only two types of units, a land based one (represented by a spearman), and
an ancient naval unit (an ancient Roman/Greek Trireme). Currently squares produce units of their
own accord, pressing 4 and 5 increases and decreases the fraction of military production that
goes into naval units by 5%.
|
Land Unit
|
The land unit has 2.5 movement points, which give it the ability, on friendly territory, to move
diagonally once and adjacently once, if the movement involves moving on to/from a square not
controlled by your nation, it has its movement reduced by 1. This has been implemented to show
the effects of local road networks and pre-positioned supplies.
|
Naval Unit
|
The Naval Unit can carry up to two land units, to board a boat, you have to create a task force
with the naval unit and any land units which you want to carry. Note than only task forces with
a ratio of equal to or less than 1:2 (one boat for every two land units) can go to sea. Naval
Task Forces can contest with enemy sea-born task forces, in the first round of the battle, the
strength of the naval units are doubled.
